Notes - The 1737 birth date in some sources seems strange as Elizabeth would have been about 32 when she married Samuel King and would have been having children at a rather advanced age. JET is not sure of the source of this date and is inclined to reject it.
JET notes "other sources name Bedford Co., Va as birthplace of Elizabeth King," JET does not believe she was in North Carolina until about 1779. Some sources give 1749 as the date, but that would make her about 15 years old when her son, John Davenport (1764) was born. James Knight's book, SAMUEL KING AND DESCENDANTS (1992) gives 1739.
