Notes - Was married at least 3 times. It is impossible to tell which of the first two wives were the mothers of which children, although John was probably the son of the first wife, R. Ridgeway. Presumably there were no children from the third marriage. In 1809 he deeded lands to his four sons, John, Jacob, Jesse, and Asa. The wording of the deeds makes it clear that Rebecca is not the mother of the four sons
