Notes - John Raymond, known as "Ray" was a special pal of Aubrey "Jack" Taylor. They grew up on adjacent farms, went to the same country school, and eventually went to high school in Jack's car. I am not sure if Ray went to LaGrange. I believe he may also have gone to Brown University. He became a forestry specialist, worked for the U.S. Government and was particularly concerned with diseases in oak trees. He had a daughter and possibly a son.
Kay Taylor Long remembers visiting this family in New Haven [?] in about 1951. The wife and daughter were always listening to and singing along with the latest hit songs. She remembers her father's thinking that they were very silly and superficial.
